On iPhone running iOS 17.4 or later. Free Apple-ID signing uses the free LocalDevVPN app from the App Store for the on-device connection; custom-certificate mode needs neither pairing nor a VPN. On-device “Pair with…” needs iOS 27 — on earlier versions you import a pairing file instead.
